A new Captain for the 3rd Protection Squad was introduced to fill-in the spot left by Gin. Captain Amagai Shuusuke now leads the squad with Kira as the Vice Captain and Kifune on the third seat. It is now become a puzzle among the other Captains who are the other two Captains that oversaw his examination. But the rest of the third squad didn’t want the promotion of the new Captain and complains certainly because he’s a newbie, Captain Shuusuke on the other hand, understand where the rest of the squad are coming from but nevertheless vows that as long as he is their Captain, he’ll do anything to protect them. A welcome party for Captain Shuusuke and Kifune was then held where Captain Shuusuke was forced to drink sake to offer his gratitude. Captain Shuusuke got drunk while 3rd Protection Squad was suddenly called for an emergency from Menos infiltrating the Soul Society. With the Captain drunk, Vice Captain Kira and 3rs Seat Kifune decided to carry on the mission. They were able to exterminate some Menos until the Seizing Current went off leaving them defenseless. With Vice Captain Kira on the lead, they decided to retreat and just before all of them were about to exterminate, Captain Shuusuke appears on their defense and able to beat the Menos in one blow. He then reiterated on his team that as long as they are with him, he’ll protect them. As they head back to Soul Society, everyone was surprised as Captain Shuusuke falls on the ground – that the Captain lie before them was a drunken Captain. Bleach Episode 168 entitled: “The New Captain Appears! His Name is Amagai Shuusuke” up now for download here. This episode marks a new opening/closing theme; and a start of the filler arc. It’s finally over, Grimmjow lose to Ichigo on their battle which briefly shows flashback of Grimmjow’s desire to fight. But as Ichigo also vows to win the battle for the sake of his friend, he eventually succeeded by defeating Grimmjow on this decisive battle. Bleach Episode 167 entitled: “The Moment of Conclusion, The End of Grimmjow” up now for download here. Not so good news for Bleach fans out there because next week will be the start of fillers so we won’t see Nel-sama for quite sometime.
With Ichigo seems losing the battle, Grimmjow attacked Inoue but Ichigo comes to her defense. Inoue on the other hand, was shocked seeing Hollow Ichigo before her. Grimmjow comments that “that” is what he’s been waiting for, seeing Ichigo on that form. Grimmjow released his swords bankai and turned himself into a panther while Ichigo released his bankai. Ichigo asked Inoue to use her barrier on her and onto Nel as this could be the decisive battle between him and Grimmjow. As the two battle it out, a group of Arrancar from afar are sneak from the battlefield and one commented that it’s very unusual for human (referring to Ichigo) possessing such reiatsu and to equally fight with an Arrancar. Back on the battlefield, Grimmjow seemed to target Ichigo’s mask to totally worn out since he concluded that it is the source of his superhuman strength, but Ichigo equally match Grimmjow’s attack and were able to successfully hit Grimmjow, they were able to penetrate a crack on each others mask but Ichigo was able to regain the mask’s form. Later on the battle, as Ichigo tried to evade Grimmjow’s attack, it came to his senses that Inoue and Nel are just behind him and will eventually hit them. He hastily blocked the attacked and was almost beaten up. Inoue was totally shocked while Nel yell at her and made Inoue to realized that Ichigo – even beaten up, continues to fight not for his sake but for the purpose of protecting and saving her, Inoue. When Grimmjow was about to deliver his final blow, Inoue screams to Ichigo that he needs to be alive and that he mustn’t afford any harm. Ulquiorra appears before Grimmjow and Inoue and utters why Inoue is healing Ichigo and more importantly why Inoue’s with Grimmjow as she was supposed to be on her detention cell. Grimmjow comments that he have unfinished business with Ichigo that needs to be settled. The two Espada’s clashed and battled it out but Grimmjow’s cleverness prevailed over Ulquiorra. Grimmjow used negation box – a powerful tool entrusted to Hollows that can permanently seal away hollow to other dimension against Ulquiorra. With Ulquiorra now out of the scene, Grimmjow asked Inoue to fully heal Ichigo but the latter denied because as she was afraid that he’ll only beat him up again once healed so it doesn’t serve it’s purpose. Surprisingly, Ichigo – not yet fully healed stand up and asked to heal him and Grimmjow too so they can equally fight. Renji and Ishida teamed-up for them to beat Espada #8 Syazel. Ishida asked Renji to keep Syazel busy for him to be able to prepare for something that will eventually defeat Syazel. Renji then charged his sword against Syazel as it envelops his body along with Renji. Syazel comments that whatever it is that they are planning against him – it will never work. Renji then casted a spell and charged against Syazel where the latter was surprised that Renji is willing to blow him up along with himself. After the explosion, Renji fell on the ground while Syazel was still able to get away. Just after that, Ishida appears behind him and a pentagram trapped Syazel. Ishida revealed sprenger’s power which activates by using seeles schneiders which collects spirits particles and by drawing up a Quincy symbol, a spirit energy will trigger for a massive explosion. Ishida succeeded on his plan… or maybe not as worn-out Syazel emerges from the explosion. He then grabbed a Fraccion, sucking up all his reiatsu and eats it. Renji and Ishida were surprised of what has happened. It turned out that Fraccion’s have healing ability and meant for healing him whenever he is beaten up. We then cut to Ichigo; technically he is dead after Espada #4 Ulquiorra reached for his heart. Suddenly, Grimmjow and Inoue appear before Nel. Grimmjow then ordered Inoue to heal Ichigo. Both Nel and Inoue were surprised why the hell did Grimmjow want to revive Ichigo and he commented that he have unfinished business with him that he wants to settle. Menoly and Lumina continues to play around with Inoue but the latter tell them to leave if they have no business with her. Lumina then teased Inoue that she’ll fire her with her cero but Inoue restrained herself of fighting back. Menoly’s bitterment was cut short when Grimmjow appears before them beating them up. Inoue then asked why Grimmjow did that, and the latter said it’s the payment for reviving his left arm after she arrived to Hueco Mundo, but there’s another thing that Grimmjow wanted from Inoue. We then cut to Medazepi loosing consciousness due to Ishida’s attack. Later on, Ishida comes face to face with Syazel and attacked him, but Syazel seems playing around and just playing dead. It turned out that like Renji, he was also able to get a hold of information about Ishida. Back to Grimmjow and Inoue, it turns out that Grimmjow wants to witness it again, the healing abilities of Inoue as Grimmjow asked him to heal herself but Inoue runs through Menoly and Lumina to heal them instead. The rest of the Fraccions on the other hand, runs against Ishida, he counters al the attack but all of them were futile, until Ishida’s arrow died out. As one of the Fraccions was about to give his final blow to Ishida, Renji came to the rescue and decided that with Ishida’s good analytical skills, they will both defeat the enemy. Renji fought before with Szayel‘s older brother Yylfordt that’s why he’s able to gain information from him. We’ve seen on the previous episode that Aareniero lose to Rukia and the rest of the Espada were able to sense the happening and was alarmed. Going back to Renji and Szayel’s fight, the latter seems losing but it was a bluffed after all. Along the fight, two Arrancars appear before Szayel announcing the death of Aareniero and apparently Rukia. Though Szayel told Renji that his bankai won’t work against him, Renji was able to put scratch on Szayel, the news triggered Renji and went berserk. Ishida with Pesche also sensed Rukia’s reiatsu and while gazing for a moment, Ulquiorra appear before Ichigo still with Nel and confirmed that Rukia was dead. On the other hand, Inoue – still confined on a secret room, also felt the passing of Rukia’s reiatsu. Ichigo came to the rescue to confirm Rukia’s death but Ulquiorra provoked to fight him since he’s an enemy. Ichigo turned down Ulquiorra because for him he hasn’t harmed any of his friends. With that said, Ulquiorra admitted to Ichigo that it was him who forced Inoue to come with him to Hueco Mundo. Bleach Episode 143 entitled: Grimmjow’s Revival has been subbed and released by Dattabayo. Here comes my episode review. Ichigo have no idea that he’s been followed by Tatsuki, Keigo and Mizuro. For this part, I wonder how come Keigo and Mizuro chased Ichigo on his Shinigami state, forget about Tatsuki because the girl’s possessing a strong reiatsu, that she’s just mum about it, but the two boys? hell no, or could these guys actually have the same as Tatsuki? Well that’s another story. Back to Urahara’s training ground, Ichigo, Chad and Ishida seemed to be ready so Urahara began casting a spell to open up the gate to Hueco Mundo which was referred as “Garganta“. Before Ichigo’s team left, Urahara told them to use those spirit particles inside these vast darkness and use these particles as their own pathway. Inoue on the other hand, has finally arrived to Hueco Mundo and was welcomed my Aizen alongwith some Arrancar. As Aizen together with some Arrancar gathered on their castle – Las Noches, he immediately asked Inoue to show her powers. Lippi, assumed the #6 spot Arrancar title as Grimmjow was punished for being too cocky with their previous battle and so Tousen cut-off his right arm and eventually erased his identity as the #6 Arrancar resting on his tummy. Inoue without any hesitation used Souten Kisshen to heal Grimmjow’s right arm. While Lippi’s being too childish and in denial that Inoue could actually heal him, she was surprised as she witnessed Grimmjow’s healing. Grimmjow was surprised and asked Inoue to heal another spot — the obliterated identity, his former identity — as #6 Arrancar. Luppi starts to panic and freaks out as the #6 tattoo slowly restores on his tummy. Grimmjow then regains his #6 spot by eliminating Luppi on a surprise attack. Back to Ichigo’s team, Chad asked Ishida if what heard from Urahara was true. Ishida’s Quincy-father did trained Ishida in exchange of one thing — that he is not to get involved with any Shinigami or their comrades, and so how come that Ishida is with them right now. Ishida then explained that Ichigo was just a “substitute” Shinigami and his comrades from Soul Society left him so technically speaking he’s not getting involved with any Shinigami. We then see Inoue now behind bars. As she’s wondering with so many things, the melo-dramatic scene was suddenly cut-off by a disturbing reiatsu. After a short filler arc episodes, Bleach Anime finally returns with the manga-based episode or simply the anime is back with the original storyline. Episode 140 entitled: “Ulquiorra’s Scheme, The Moment When The Sun Sets” has been subbed and released by Dattebayo. The battle continues between Urahara and some Arrancar. As the # 6 Arrancar was about to give the final blow to Madarame, Urahara came to the rescue. Same goes for Kurosaki and Grimmjow, as the latter was about to give its final blow, Rukia came to the rescue. The episode also reveals Rukia’s Zanpakutou. The said Zanpakutou was first revealed on the first ever Bleach Movie. Anyway, the episode is up now for download here.
