Team 7 led by Kakashi Hatake was sent to a mission on guarding Yukie Fujikaze while she makes the next movie in the Land of the Snow. Naruto Uzumaki himself was a big fan of the lead actress Yukie Fujikaze, later on, it turned out that the actress Yukie is actually the Princess of the Land of Snow, which was taken over by the leader of the scoundrel ninja Doto Kazahana. Doto wanted to have the crystal necklace to unlock the Land of the Snow’s treasure and eventually succeeded to get a hold of Yukie’s necklace only to discover that the “treasure” is a generator-designed to melt the snow and bring spring to the country. Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, Sasuke Uchiha and Hatake Kakashi are the lead stars on this very first movie installment of Naruto.

Jordin Sparks released her self-titled album just before the Holiday rush last year. There is nothing much on this album; there are only few tracks on this album while rest is just like fillers to fill-in the gap in the album. I am not a big fan of Jordin, my friend Kurt sent me this album via Amazon because he knows that I’m into music and runs a blog doing some rants. But having this album doesn’t change a fact, that for me Jordin Sparks is the worst American Idol winner next to Fantasia. Anyway, as I’ve said earlier there’s a couple of good tracks in this album, one of which is first single “Tattoo” – a well written song featuring a soft and traditional beat and good enough to be the first single, and I was just surprised to see Blake on her music video. Itachi looks on with dimmed vision and says there is one final puzzle piece. A story of two competitive brothers who awakened their Sharingan and eventually obtained Mangekyou. Uchiha Madara and his younger brother had achieved something never before done and took control of their clan. Unfortunately as a side effect of the Mangekyou, Madara’s vision failed him as his eyes were sealed away from the light. He tried to avoid this fate and failed, eventually plucking out his brother’s eyes in desperation. Madara regained his vision and obtained a Mangekyou that would never disappear. Such an ability caused many sacrifices to happen within the clan over time. Using his power he joined with other clans, including the Senju of the Forest, led by the man who would become First Hokage. Together they formed Konoha. Policy disputes arose and they did battle. Madara lost but still lives. He formed Akatsuki from behind the scenes and eventually directed the Kyuubi to attack Konoha but sadly he was stopped again, this time by the Fourth Hokage. Itachi then states that Madara is a unworthy shadow of his former self; and the only one who can surpass him is he himself. He maniacally yells that Sasuke himself will be his chance to grow. Since the beginning, the Uchiha have killed their friends to develop Mangekyou and their siblings to make it eternal. He offers that their clan has been tainted with blood and once Sasuke is dead, he can go beyond the limits of his own capacity with his brother’s eyes. Thus each brother is a spare, and that is why he left Sasuke live. A double-eyed specter begins to reach out for Sasuke’s eye but he disperses the illusion. Sasuke removes his cloak and states it was all for this moment. Closing his eyes he thinks back over his pledge to kill Itachi. He opens his eyes and states “it finally ends here…”. “Boys Like Girls” band is one of those emo genre that seems to have taken over the radio mainstream for the past two years or so, and there are so many bands who take a while to get a break with that kind of sub-genre. So far, I am enjoying their music and their tracks will probably stay on my playlist. Alicia Keys held it down for the past years bringing a needed vibe and sense of back to basics to R&B and music in general. Now, she returns with her third studio album “As I Am“. The album itself experienced breakaway success levels especially considering the current musical doldrums we are in. This CD does find Alicia experimenting with some of her tried-and-true, but it also sees her experimenting slightly dabbling rock and alternative musical avenues. Overall, the album is good because it’s one of the few breaths of fresh air we have had in 2007. I just love the first single of the album “No One“. Rock-band Seether released their 3rd major studio album dubbed as “Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces“. Singer/guitarist Shaun Morgan said “We explored our melodic side a little bit more, and as a result, I believe this is our best collective effort to date. It may come as a surprise to some, but we feel like we’ve grown and are starting to find our place with regards to the sound of the band”. The first single “Fake It” already out. Sasuke’s kusanagi runs thru Itachi, then he remembers the latter’s words after the Uchiha clan massacre. Sasuke then demands to know the third person capable of Sharingan that Itachi mentioned on the day of the massacre, and states that he’s next after he kill Itachi. Itachi wonders if he’s match with him, then later states that it is Madara Uchiha. Sasuke then recalls his conversation with the Kyuubi, where the latter mentioned about Madara. Itachi states that Madara is one of the Leaf Vilage’s Founding Fathers and the first person ever to awaken the Mangekyou Sharingan. Sasuke yells that it is impossible as he would be long dead. Itachi says he can’t make him believe and Sasuke states that he’s tired of his lies. Itachi then defined that as a reality – how people live ther lives, bound by what they accepts as correct and true. Sasuke suddenly turns from the chair to hurl Chidori towards another reclining Itachi. Sasuke states that he’s eyes are wide open now and sees thru his Genjutsu and asks if Itachi’s done playing. Itachi on the other hand, states that Sasuke still doesn’t have the same eyes as he. Sasuke then dares Itachi to use his Mangekyou Sharingan on him or is he too strong to handle. Zetsu then emerges on the wall, waiting too long for the two to fight ans states that they haven’t move an inch, and just fighting thru genjutsu. Itachi revealed that the moment Mangekyou awakens, the journey to darkness commence. Sasuke knows that in exchange for controlling the Kyuubi, one will go blind. Itachi was impressed that Sasuke actually read the scrolls in the Clan’s secret shrine. Itachi then rises and walks towards Sasuke who in turn asks who Madara is. Itachi states Madara is the only man to tamed the Kyuubi and controlled it like a pet. The one who acted his personal mentor and accomplice, and the only man to learn the Sharingan’s final secret. I don’t know if there’s something wrong with FeedBurner but it’s kinda weird. Upon previewing my Naruto Shippuuden posting, I noticed that I have “377 readers” via RSS which is a BIG troll. Normally, I have an average of 50 viewers a day, and the gap between 377 and 50 was far too BIG. I checked my FeedBurner account via their website to check the stats and it tells the same thing. I’ve listened to this CD over and over, and just can’t get enough of it. Celine Dion has definitely taken the time with her long hiatus to nurture, save, expand and slightly improve her singing prowess. Celine Dion’s definitely not getting any younger now and yet she is aging so gracefully that she can still stretch her voice into new places it’s never been before. I have a couple of Celine’s cassette tapes and grew up hearing her songs over the local airwaves, and I must admit that she has the purest voice of anyone in the singing industry. “Graduation” could have been done better without his collaboration to some artists; it’s front-loaded, where in fact Kanye himself can handle very well. Personal.
2007 for me was the toughest year I’ve ever had. It was November when my dear father passed away at the age of 64. It was painful for the family and until now part of me was still in denial but I have to accept the fact that he’s not around anymore, that he also has to continue his new journey, that we will see each other again in the near future. Before, I always tell to myself how our Christmas and New Year’s gonna be without my father. Later on, I realized that it’s not only those Holiday Seasons but the fact that he’s not with us anymore whether it’s a Holiday or just the normal day. I started moving out at our house when I was in my sophomore year in college, basically because our house was way too far from the University. So for 7 years, I stayed at my sisters’ place where mode of transportation is much easier than the countryside. I had my first job where I had my on-the-job training (I actually have a regular job even before I graduated) so that makes me really away from my parents back in the province. I only got a chance to see them whenever there are family gatherings like weddings, birthdays, graduations, summer, Lenten and holiday seasons. We spend our Christmas at my father’s tomb. We stayed there the whole day, the whole family and few relatives, it was fun. We spend our Christmas the usual way — the same way when my father was still around. Same goes for our New Year except that we’ve only got few firecrackers unlike before that it was my father who’s insisting to have some variations of firecrackers. This is the first day of the year where the family once again gathers to celebrate the New Year. On one corner, you’ll see my brothers and in-laws tossing up for their beer. On the other side are my nieces and nephews playing around really loud; my other siblings playing Text Twist on the other corner trying to beat the highest score and warns everyone that joins not to give up the game for us to be able to beat the #1 spot. After twisting for almost half a day, we ended up still on #2 spot. Well, the game wasn’t actually over; it’s just that we have to shut it off cause it’s been up for long hours. While on the other side, my nephew having a marathon of Naruto Shippuuden along with my cousins; and on the kitchen are my sister and my mother cooking up, not to mention that I cooked up our pasta and ham both for Christmas and New Year.

Travel.
My 3-day vacation on Baguio City along with my friends is definitely one of my unforgettable travel experiences. It is also the time to capture the vibrant environment of the Summer Capital of the Philippines, the trees, mountains and the experience itself. It was priceless. Taking pictures is what I really love upon travelling. Our 2007 Team Building held at Montemar Beach Resort – also up north, was also memorable for me, I love beaches aside the fact that I grew up near on a beach resort.

Anime. TV Series. Music. Movies. Addiction.
I grew up watching animes, I love animes and that makes me kid at heart. Bt’X and Zenki which was shown way back 1995 was very memorable for me. Those two anime are the very first two subjects for my drawing. I didn’t enroll for some sketching lesson (until I was on my second year in high school and first two years on college) but the characters of the said series are usually my subject. I remember that I would normally keep the wrapper of the junk food if my favorite anime characters are on its wrapper design, then after my school, I’ll make sketches of them. I don’t know but I after drew, then that’s it. I don’t make any fancy colors on it and afterwards I’ll compile them. Now, at the dawn of new century, the anime has evolved. Japan which is the epicenter of all the anime and manga continues their legacy of bringing what fans around the globe. Not to mention that it’s not only the anime that has evolved but their broadcast quality as well. It was mid-2007 when Japan produced and brought out to the market new generation of animes that are available on high definition format. Last 2007, I am grateful for TV shows like American Idol, Grey’s Anatomy, One Tree Hill, 24, Smallville, Amazing Race, Survivor, National Geographic’s History Secrets, Mega Structure, Seconds from Disaster and a lot more. And then there’s the strike from the Writer’s Guild of America which affected almost every TV show in the US. 2007 was also the year where cool animes were born. Titles like Claymore featuring Claire as the lowest ranking Claymore in pursuit of Teresa’s justice; Juushin Enbu Hero Tales; the end of filler episodes for Bleach; Yagami Light vs “L” via Death Note; Gundam 00’s arrival featuring Setsuna F. Seiei piloting Gundam Exia, and being the first Gundam series ever produced in high definition format; and of course the much awaited premiere of Naruto Shippuuden (or simply Naruto II of the manga) after the time skip and the first ever Naruto Shippuuden Movie which was released August. Talking about music, Rihanna’s definitely one of the hit makers this year. Certainly, her third album “Good Girl Gone Bad” via “Umbrella” revived her singing career and took her to the road of Grammy 2008. Couples of great album also came out last 2007. Maroon 5’s “It Won’t Be Soon Before Long” and Linkin Park’s “Minutes to Midnight” are worth the wait. American Idol Season 6 runner-up Blake Lewis, also successfully launch his singing career. Celine Dion has also returned via “Taking Chances” album and Westlife with their ninth album “Back Home”. James Blunt’s “All The Lost Souls”; T-Pain’s “Epiphany”; The Click Five’s “Modern Mind and Pastimes” and Timbaland’s “Shock Value” also made a remarkable album released. Movie soundtrack like “Music and Lyrics” and “Transformers” are also impressive. As per movie released, I’ve only seen 5 titles last year, “Flyboys” based on a real event and stars James Franco was my favorite movie last year along with the “At World’s End” – the last part of the trilogy series from “Pirates of the Caribbean” and finally the live action “Transformers: The Movie” which certainly launched Shia’s career.

Hobby.
I love doing graphics from scratch to some sort of parody. Thanks to Photoshop, with the help of path; opacity; and some gradient tools — presto! There’s an endless possibility on achieving your desired effects. I was also able to maximize my Holiday vacation thru Adobe’s video counterpart – Premiere. Slowly but surely, I’m beginning to learn video editing. I am already done on my Blog’s version 2 layout. Along with it is my first ever Blog Into. For my new Blog layout, it’s really not a new but an enhanced version of the current background image. I am currently working on my 3-minuter Blog intro which features Naruto Shippuuden, Gundam 00, Bleach and 24. The video will be available soon on my YouTube channel and of course here at my Blog. So watch out for my enhanced Blog’s image and intro.

Career.
I’ve been blessed with my first job as Marketing Officer for International Sales here in ABS-CBN (Philippines). Last year, was a challenged for all of us when our department was merged with ABS-CBN Global Limited, the international arm and subsidiary of ABS-CBN. For me, it’s really a smart choice, I gained lots of friend, and even strengthen my communication and relationship skill. The more friends, the merrier isn’t it? And as the year ends, here comes another challenge for me. I’ve learned to love Marketing for almost 3 year, but this year, I’ve decided to resigned on my current post and transfer (Oh no! Not on that TV station) on a new department, wherein the job is really close to my heart. In few weeks time, I’ll be joining a new team from CRM of ABS-CBN Global and will fill-in the other slot for “Web Content Editor” of our Global Corporate Website.
